Of course, you need to find good topics yourself, but finding a list of topics with which you are most familiar and feel most comfortable can help you immensely. Here are some things to look for in a good list of topics:
Make sure that the list you've chosen is easy to read and quick to go through. If it's too long or difficult to read, then you won't be able to learn the material fast enough to be able to apply what you've learned. If the topic is too short, then you won't be able to remember it and this will make the experience of writing an essay far less satisfying. In addition, be sure that each topic has a specific part. Topics which cover the same theme or point will usually have very similar parts to them. For example, if you are learning about your faith, then you will likely look at topics such as Christian faith, spirituality, and belief to help you understand what faith is all about. Try to find a topic that you enjoy reading. A lot of times you may be too excited about the subject to be able to write about it. Instead, try to use whatever books or websites you already have on hand to get you started and then get you interested in the topic. If possible, try to find a topic that you can put yourself in the shoes of. For example, if you are learning about your Spanish speaking skills, you might try writing about your experiences learning to speak the language. You can even choose a topic that has nothing to do with your native language and just choose a topic that interests you. It's important to keep your essays in a logical order. Although you might feel more comfortable writing in a rush or in an excited way, it's not going to help you at all. By following a logical order, you will be able to organize your thoughts and to make them flow more easily. Keep the most exciting parts of the material separate from the less exciting parts. Most people fail to write their final drafts because they have left parts of the essay behind that didn't interest them. By grouping similar parts together, you will be able to see all of the ideas you had and will be able to integrate them all into the final document. When you have a list of good topics for an explination essay, you will be able to get started and to get the most out of your writing experience. Remember that if you want to be the best writer you can be, you need to make the effort to find topics and to create content that you are proud of.
